Children's Ministries
We believe our children are the church's most important resource. Our church offers a variety of children's programs.
Sabbath School
Each Sabbath morning, Sabbath schools for each age group welcome children to an hour of active learning geared to their stage of faith development. These classes provide faith-shaping experiences for newborns through adolescents using the Christ-centred, child-friendly GraceLink Sabbath School curriculum produced by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Adventurers/Pathfinders
The St. John's church has an active Adventurer Club which is now expanding to include a Pathfinder group as our children get older! Children ages 5 - 11 meet weekly along with parents for fun Bible-centred learning activities and special events. In the past couple of years, our Adventurers have earned honours in subjects such as beadcraft, building, Bible stories, rocks and stones, astronomy, and many others. Our club activities have taken us mini-golfing, bowling, wall climbing, to a farm and a planetarium. Our outreach activities have included singing Christmas carols for seniors, delivering food hampers, and packing shoeboxes of gifts for children in other countries as a part of Operation Christmas Child.
Adventurers/Pathfinders for the 2007-2008 year will begin on October 10. New members are welcome!
OCT 10 -- Family Fun Night at Glow-in-One Mini-Golf at the Avalon Mall, 7:00 p.m. Families are invited to meet before mini-golf at the Mall food court to enjoy supper together.
OCT 17 -- Regular meeting, 6:30-7:30 at the church
OCT 24-Nov 21 -- Adventurers/Pathfinders will run at the same time as the Truth for Today meetings, starting 7:15 at the church.

Children's Church
About once a month we have Children's Church downstairs in the fellowship hall during the sermon time. This program features our puppet ministry, Bible stories, and hands-on learning activities. The next scheduled Sabbath for Children's Church is October 20.
